A few more trees

I'm focused more on moving than quilting but I found a little time tonight to make more trees.

I wanted to make some two toned but I'm not sure how well it worked. I don't usually use batiks either but I noticed that these two greens were both batiks - they probably slipped in my stash in fat quarter bundles with other *regular* fabrics.

These are trees I made on Thursday. Hopefully by the time I get moved and put all of these on the design wall they'll play nicely with each other. For now, I'm just making them in sets of 2 or 4.

I love the 2 tone ones and the black and red one bottom right in the 2nd photo.

When are you moving?

really great color choices! i like the playfulness of the bottom trees...but love the fabrics in the top photo :)
taking a break from them during a move might be a great idea...you'll be ready to dive in with a fresh attituede when you get them out again! :)
keep going...it looks great!

Thanks! The colors aren't quite right - that's an orange and dark brown but I like the color combination too.

The move is in two weeks and I've got lots to do to get ready.

I like both versions of trees. Maybe you could figure out how to make the style in the bottom picture with more than two fabrics so they'll blend better with the others? Heck, there are all kinds and shapes of trees in a forest so you don't really have to choose one over the other!

I really like the two-toned trees! This looks like it might be Christmas-sy! Have you tried using different colored triangles on the two-triangle trees?

will be great to see all of these different trees mixed together. I'm amazed you have any time at all to work during the move. good luck.

Thanks Tonya, I've got my wonky trees in a tote that I hand carried to the townhouse.

I'm sure I'll be unpacking for weeks especially since I have a couple trips planned but the trees will be the first piecing project to come back out - hopefully in the next couple days!
