Trees

These are my first attempts. I started very small with a certain plan. I'm quickly abandoning that initial plan and becoming free-er. I will work on letters and words next, and I want to add a house. I'm worried about keeping new units in proportion. I am working on a Tree Everlasting block that is humongous (like Jack's beanstalk to the heavens!) and will need to be cut down. Lots of new possibilities are floating in my head....

They look good! I really like that very tall one. Maybe you don't need to cut it down, maybe it could be some kind of asymetrical border-like block on one side of the quilt...just a possibility, so it might be worth not cutting it until the end of the process.

I love all the trees, esp the super tall one. Don't cut it down! We need our forests!

I love them all too! The one on with three is really cool.

Yes, really cool, all of them. The ones in the lower left corner, are they pieced ? or is this a batik ?

My humongous tree is not shown here. It is an ugly monster at this point, but I'll be pruning it into shape! I am keeping the tall tree shown, for sure. The 3 trees in the lower left are made from a batik fabric. However, the hill on which they sit is pieced. Thanks for all your nice comments! I can't wait to play some more.

I love them all! My favorite is the three in a row in the bottom left. I can't wait to see it all put together.
