Betsy, checking in

Hi all,
I enjoyed seeing the finished quilts from the winter's project & thought it would be fun to try my hand. I haven't done any free-style quilting, but am intrigued. I'm thinking flowers or hearts and some kind of wording--so I can play with the lettering. I'm looking forward to the playing. :-)

The winter class was my first time ever not using my ruler for measuring, not piecing with precision (or trying to), etc. It was so liberating! I'm not saying I'll do it all the time like Tonya does (she's got such a gift, y'know?), but sometimes it feels good to step outside your comfort zone. Welcome aboard!

This free piecing is really fun. I think flowers would be great to try.

Betsy, so glad you decided to join us. And your first time free-piecing? Excellent. Give yourself permission to play and experiment. You only learn by doing. Every block doesn't have to work and you don't have to use it.
