Making love!

Don't worry - there will be no details which will make you blush here! I have been busy making LOVE for my repetition quilt and finally decided that I have made enough.

Despite that fact that I now realise it is slightly narrower at the bottom than the top (I may do something about this, or probably not!) I am very pleased with it.

The question now is, do I put another border on it (lighter and wider) or just leave it like it is? Please give me your advice.

I love it! I would go with another wider border, maybe not quite so pink, but that's your choice, and the colours probably look different in real than in the picture. Congrats on a great finish.

I LOVE the way your quilt turned out. With all that hot lovin' going on in the center, I think a softer border would help to give the eye a place to rest. Think of it as the beige ceiling in the joke about the love-making couple. In the heat of passion, the wife cries out "beige, beige." When the husband asks what she means, she replies, "Paint the ceiling beige!"

It looks great! I'm anxious about doing a border for one of my quilts with the pieced letters but everyone's turn out so great that maybe mine will too!

I think you could go either way with the border, leave it as is or add another one - both would work. Does finished size matter?

that certainly gets one's attention! I like that the border width has some weight - to contain the enthusiasm of all the love.

It looks so happy! I might be tempted to put some wonky hearts in a border to finish it off, maybe just on the top and bottom?

If this were mine, I'd be making a scrappy piano key border using the fabrics from the center. The more pink the better!

Great job!!

If it were my quilt and I had a large scale heart print in the right shades, that's what I'd use for a final border. (Wider than the existing pink border you already have.)

Great job!

This is a great quilt! I like it just the way it is, but if you felt you needed a little something more to finish it off, try an wide binding in a pink/white/red stripe. Mmmm, yummy!

I'm not a border person - it will look great either way, I'm sure!
