Here it is! The finished project. I had some bumps here and there. When I added the NY Beauties on the top corner, I wasn't exactly crazy about them, but they've grown on me. I just did some very simple quilting around the letters and inside the suns. This is going to be a wall hanging for my dd. Great class!

Wow! New York Beauties. I love it. I'd like to do some of my own, but I hate paper piecing. what did you do?
wheeeee lots of fun. Hope your daughter loves it - very happy.
Wonderful use of colors...
How could your dd NOT love this?!?!?!
Congrats on the finish.
Well if it doesn't elicit a laugh, it will always bring forth a smile! Very cheerful & fun!
It is very cheery! What fun, almost psychedelic, swirly, leafy fabric! I like the NY beauties....congrats!
Great colour scheme and really fun.
Congrats on a great finish.
thanks everyone! I did do paper piecing, but I think I've seen a tutorial for freehand ny beauties. I'll try and remember where!
terrific job Rae! very cheerful and I am sure your dd was thrilled-if not, I would be happy to take it :-)
Rae, this quilt has so much motion and I love the way you composed it. Your daughter should love it, both for the wonderful quilting design as well as the message.
